Official Journal of the College of Nursing, University of Mosul

At the Mosul Journal of Nursing (MJN), we are committed to maintaining the integrity of the scientific record and ensuring accuracy in published content. As part of our publication ethics policies, we adhere to the guidelines set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Post-Publication Discussions: MJN recognizes the importance of post-publication discussions as a means to enhance scholarly discourse and address any concerns or questions raised by the academic community. Authors, readers, and stakeholders are encouraged to engage in constructive discussions related to published articles through various channels, including letters to the editor, comments sections, or scholarly forums.

Corrections and Retractions: In cases where errors, inaccuracies, or ethical concerns are identified in published articles, MJN follows COPE guidelines for corrections and retractions. Authors or readers can bring such issues to the attention of the editorial board, and upon thorough investigation and verification, appropriate actions are taken.

  • Corrections: Minor errors or discrepancies identified post-publication are addressed through published corrections or errata. These corrections are clearly identified, and the corrected version is made available online, with a note indicating the changes made.

  • Retractions: In cases of serious errors, ethical violations, or research misconduct that significantly impact the validity or credibility of an article, MJN may consider issuing a retraction. Retractions are published with a clear explanation of the reasons for retraction, and the original article is marked as retracted in the journal's archives.

Transparency and Accountability: MJN values transparency and accountability in all post-publication discussions, corrections, and retractions. Our aim is to ensure that the scientific record remains accurate and reliable, and that any concerns or issues are addressed promptly and responsibly.

By following COPE guidelines and fostering open dialogue with our stakeholders, MJN upholds the highest standards of publication ethics and contributes to the advancement of knowledge in the field of nursing and healthcare.
